The Ostrach Valley offers impressive views with its adjacent mountains. Just to name a few, these are the Schrecksee, the Eneratsgundsee, the Daumen-Massiv or the fantastically located Prinz-Luitpold-Haus. A good starting point for hikers, climbers or walkers is the small town of Bad Hindelang, especially the district of Hinterstein.

In the first year of the Corona pandemic, 2020, I discovered the area and have returned several times since then. The mountains are not too high. Hiking is wonderful there. And many of the peaks are easily accessible for non-professionals.

I fully recommend the excellent food in the Schwarzenberghütte, the Prinz-Luitpold-Haus and in the Mitterhausalpe. It's just wonderful to sit in front of the huts, look up to the mountains and have a beer.
