My second CSD parade with the camera was a bit rainy. But I think the photos are much better than the year before.
Here, too, it was that everyone wanted to be photographed. It's just a lot of fun to walk through the crowd with the camera and portray people. Here and there you get a short conversation. Many wave, laugh, smile. No one grimaces or turns away.
For the photos shown here I was on the road with the Pentax K-3 III Monochrome and the tiny f3.2 / 21 mm Limited lens. As I found, the perfect combination for super fast photos. The great viewfinder of the Pentax K-3 III is simply phenomenal. Even with the somewhat small initial focal length of the lens, the image in the viewfinder is not too dark.
For the photos, a significantly smaller focal length is an advantage anyway. In combination with the APS sensor of the camera, the photos tend to have a lot of depth of field. Something I prefer in street shooting. So chances are high that the important parts of the image get really sharp.
And how do black and white shots fit in with a crazy colorful CSD parade? In my opinion just excellent!
