The old town center of Naples feels so exotic in some places, as if you were no longer in Europe. I remember Palermo in Sicily, which gave a similar impression. However, Naples is much bigger. As a street shooter, I really made it here without crossing the same streets again too quickly.

Of course, running around the city makes you hungry. In the evening I couldn't help but reach for the delicious Pizza Margherita plus Vono de Casa plus Peroni plus... The pizza doesn't taste as good anywhere as in Naples. No wonder, it was invented there.

For the photographic eye, Naples offers rich nutrition. Narrow alleys over which the typical clotheslines hang. Streets and pedestrian zones are full of people. In many places there are market stalls and restaurants. Even the car traffic gives a great picture in some places. Nothing is polished to a high gloss. The city really has charm.

I only did street shooting in black and white with the Pentax K-3 III Monochrome for four days and unfortunately left most of the churches and museums out. A shame - and a reason to come back.

Worth seeing are the entire Centro Storico and the Quartieri Spagnoli. A long walk along the coastal road is also worthwhile.
