★ Kölle Alaaf ★

The name of Cologne's Schull- and Veedelszöch refers to the school and quarter processions, which always pass through some streets of Cologne's southern city on Sunday before Rose Monday. Clubs, students and small local associations are involved.
There are no big wagons here, the street is also less crowded. Many children are there. And thus a little less alcohol - at least one might think. It's all a whole size smaller than the big Cologne Rose Monday procession, but no less beautiful.
The photos are from February 2024 and show the train and the many disguises of the people.
By the way, Kölle Alaaf are the saluting words of every carnival fan in Cologne. It sounds a little like Cologne I love, but means something like Cologne is everything.
